  • Identifying issues, challenges and opportunities within our teaching context both at school level and for individual teachers.
  • Case Study exploration.

Creating an Inclusive Classroom

  • Understanding different models of inclusive learning
  • Identifying areas of focus when considering inclusivity (rules, activity, people, power)
  • Whose curriculum is it anyway? Potential tensions explored in relation to different stakeholders.

Inclusive Teaching and Learning

  • Applying understanding of equity, equality and adaption to classroom practice
  • Identifying some practical inclusive teaching strategies in relation to sample protected characteristics
  • Identifying development priorities.

Dr Jo Trevenna has over 20 years' experience of educational leadership from early years to post-graduate level. Her ongoing academic interests centre on Leadership and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
