Ofsted Outstanding Quality of Education: Is your Teaching and Learning Ofsted Ready?
Ofsted is going through some major changes. In September 2025 a new inspection framework will be introduced following consultation scheduled for January 2025 and “The Big Listen” conducted in the summer of 2024.
As a result some changes were implemented in September 2024 with further changes inevitable in September 2025.
This twilight course aims to prepare leaders for inspection under current practice, including the changes introduced in September 2024 and examine potential changes expected in September 2025.
Guiding you through questions and lines of enquiry, this workshop will help you feel prepared and ready to articulate your approach with clarity and confidence.
Course Overview:
- What to expect on ungraded inspections, including the new ‘focus areas’.
- What to expect on graded inspections; in particular looking at the inspectors view for each of the sections: Quality of education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management.
- How heads can prepare for the initial phone call and inspectors questions.
There will be practical advice and handouts to help leaders reflect on practice within their schools and prepare middle leaders and staff for the potential meetings and scrutiny they may experience during an inspection.
