This course will be online:-

• Adam is presenting via webcam, accompanied by slides and activities
• Opportunities for delegate questions and comments
• A copy of the slides will be made available after the course, along with further materials

Our Up-skilling course is for secondary language teachers who wish to acquire a third or fourth language to teach to Key Stage 3 students. The course takes into account the fact that delegates already have advanced language-learning skills, understand grammatical structures and wish to fast-track their learning. This course is for language teachers with no previous knowledge of Spanish.

This course focuses on:

• confidence in oral fluency
• phonetics, pronunciation and intonation
• speaking and listening skills
• reading and writing skills
• grammatical structures and tenses
• acquiring vocabulary and structures aligned to the Key Stage 3 curriculum

We also offer a level 2 course as a follow up to the above or for those teachers who already have a basic knowledge of Spanish and wish to teach Key Stage 4 students.

The course will be split over six days, running 4pm to 6:30pm on each of the following days:

• Thursday 6 June
• Thursday 13 June
• Thursday 20 June
• Thursday 27 June
• Thursday 4 July
• Thursday 11 July

Presenter Profile

Adam Samuel is an experienced and qualified language trainer, with over fifteen years of experience teaching EFL in both Spain and the UK. He also has extensive experience teaching Spanish to students in Key stages 3, 4, and 5 in the UK. Adam holds a BA in European Studies and completed his PGCE at Bath Spa University, which has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of language learning and teaching techniques.

Over the past decade, Adam has lived and worked in Spain, where he has taught EFL in a language academy, provided General, Business English and Spanish language training online and also been involved in the creation of online language learning resources and platforms, which he has leveraged to enhance his students' learning experiences.

Adam is particularly proud of the Spanish upskilling training course he has developed, which he has been running for the past three years. During this time, he has optimized the course and is always looking for ways to improve it, ensuring that it remains relevant and effective for his students. His dedication to language teaching and commitment to enhancing his skills and knowledge led him to recently complete a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at a Spanish university. This has given him an even greater insight into effective language learning and teaching techniques, which he applies in his teaching to help his students achieve their language goals.
