Promoting collaboration, creativity and formative assessment with a bring your own device (BYOD) in and out of the languages classroom - Teacher CPD

This hands-on CPD course for teachers will explore how different cross-platform tools can promote collaboration, independent learning, creativity and assessment opportunities. Delegates will have plenty of hands-on time to explore the power and potential of different technologies such as iPads, Android devices and Windows tablets and laptops for enhancing learning in and out of the classroom. Focusing on pedagogical principles and improving outcomes, Joe Dale will demonstrate how easy it is to enhance learning in a purposeful way with a range of free apps or tools which are device agnostic allowing learners to practise, reflect and share the results easily.

The course will:

  • show how technology can promote collaboration and allow learners the opportunity to work simultaneously on the same document
  • demonstrate how a range of apps and web tools can encourage independent learning and autonomous research
